Beginner Band
Is for people wishing to learn the basics of playing a particular wind or percussion instrument. Also involves learning to read music, for those who are yet to acquire this skill.
This Band commences its life with a weekend workshop in March each year. Participants are instructed on how to hold, care for and produce a sound from their chosen instrument and start to read music.
Weekly rehearsals commence in the week immediately after the inaugural weekend workshop.
Two hour rehearsal each week from
5 – 7 pm on Tuesdays in 2008
